The House Judiciary Committee has approved landmark antitrust legislation long sought by NRF that would direct Visa and MasterCard to negotiate over the $48 billion in take-it-or-leave-it credit card interchange fees imposed on merchants each year, marking a major victory for the retail industry and consumers.
